Nino Franco Prosecco Rustico Valdobbiadene Superiore (75cl)

This is a Prosecco from Nino Franco, whose family history in Italian wine goes back to 1919. It comes from Valdobbiadene in Veneto and is labelled Superiore. The bubbles are fine and strong enough to hold up in mixed drinks, which makes it well suited to a spritz, though it also works on its own. The nose offers stone fruit and flowers, and the palate has a bright green apple note. It pairs with a fresh salad or a plate of fruit.
