This is an 11 year old single grain Scotch whisky from North British in the Lowlands, bottled by Blackadder in its Raw Cask series. It comes from a single bourbon barrel and is one of 285 bottles. Raw Cask whiskies are not filtered at all, so harmless cask sediment may appear in the glass.
The nose offers butterscotch, toasted cornflakes and vanilla fudge, with toffee, pear and a hint of oak after swirling. The palate is rich and syrupy, with vanilla cream, pancake syrup and a little spice. The finish is smooth and lingering, with warmth and toasted wood.
