North British – 1992/2025 32 Year Old Small Batch Single Grain (70cl, 44.2%)

This is a 32 year old single grain whisky from the North British distillery in Edinburgh, bottled by Little Brown Dog at 44.2% in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled on 17 December 1992 and matured in five refill bourbon barrels before bottling on 18 February 2025, yielding 567 bottles. The label shows the Forth Rail Bridge, which stands close to the distillery. The tasting notes describe gooseberry, redcurrant and pencil case on the nose, then salted caramel, custard creams and Muscadet grapes on the palate. The finish brings winter spiced poached pear with clotted cream.
