This is a 33-year-old single grain whisky from North British, drawn from a single barrel and bottled at 61% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The outturn was 120 bottles.
The nose has old polished oak and homemade rice pudding, then honeyed flapjack, cocoa, granola and a touch of sandalwood. On the palate, soft toffee and chewy oak lead to syrupy sponge cake and orange biscuits, with pineapple and salted papaya developing over woody spices. The finish is gentle, with milky coffee, old oak, caramel, burnt sugar and candied ginger.
