This is a 34 year old single grain Scotch whisky from North British Distillery in Edinburgh, bottled by Thompson Bros of Dornoch at 40.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It has natural colour and is not chill filtered. It follows the bottler's 33 year old North British. The distillery was founded in 1885. The nose offers custard and Demerara sugar with fruit jellies and ripe stone fruit. The palate is oily, with honeycomb, stewed plums and mature oak, and the finish moves from honey on toast to citrus pith.
