North British – The Octave 15 Year Old 2011/2026 (55.3%)

This is a 15 year old single grain whisky from North British, a Lowland distillery, bottled by Duncan Taylor in its Octave series. The spirit was distilled on 31 March 2011 and bottled on 15 September 2026. After its years of maturation it was finished in an Oloroso sherry octave cask. Octave casks are much smaller than standard casks, so the spirit has more contact with the wood. This single cask gave 88 bottles at a cask strength of 55.3%. Walnut and dry oak are the notes most often picked out.
