A six-year-old Lindores Abbey single malt from the Lowlands, bottled by North Star Spirits, founded by Ian Croucher, in its Obscurities & Curiosities series. It was distilled in July 2019 and bottled in March 2026, after maturing in a single ex-peated PX sherry hogshead. The strength is a cask 60% ABV in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour and without chill filtration.
The nose is light smoke with a briny edge, with embers, salty air and sea spray. The palate brings juicy orchard fruit, stewed apple, ripe pear, creamy vanilla and caramelised sugar. The finish is deep, with treacle, almonds and a toasted note.
