A six-year-old blended Scotch whisky from North Star Spirits, bottled in 2022 at 57.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is the first release in the Tarot series.
The blend is 80% grain whisky from North British distillery and 20% malt from one or more distilleries owned by the Edrington Group. Refill casks, including ex-oloroso butts, contributed to the character, and 6 years is the minimum age of the whiskies in the blend.
The nose is vanilla and ripe pear with some sherry notes. On the palate, spice and oak lead, with vanilla behind them. The finish lingers, with a gentle warmth.
