Supersonic Mach 4 is a 7 year old blended malt from North Star Spirits, a vatting of two sherry butts bottled at 60% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Just 716 bottles were produced.
The whisky is sherry-driven from nose to finish, and bold for its age. On the nose are leather, Madeira plums, pear, sugared raisins, tobacco and sour cherries, with chocolate, almonds, blueberries and lovage. The palate opens sweet, with tobacco, leather, cherries, wild berries, a little smoke, raisins and milk chocolate. The finish is of medium length.
