This is a 12 year old Tamnavulin single malt from Speyside, bottled by North Star Spirits, the independent bottler founded by Ian Croucher. It was distilled in May 2013 and bottled in March 2026 at a cask strength of 57.9%, in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was matured in four refill Pedro Ximenez octaves, a small cask format. 263 bottles were filled, with natural colour and without chill filtration.
The nose is stewed orchard fruits, vanilla and toffee with a touch of oak spice. The palate is rich and rounded, with sweet malt, caramel and cooked orchard fruits. The finish is long and warming, sweet with gentle spice and soft oak.
