Not So Secret Speyside Little Brown Dog 2009 16 Years Old Sherry Hogshead (70cl, 54.2%)

This is a 16 year old Speyside single malt, distilled in 2009 and bottled independently by Little Brown Dog Spirits in a 70cl bottle. It matured in a sherry hogshead and was bottled at a natural cask strength of 54.2% ABV, without chill filtration and without added colouring. The nose offers raisins, dried apricot and orange peel, with honey, milk chocolate and warm spices. On the palate it is full and rich, with dark fruit, caramel, nuts and soft spice over a sweet undertone. The finish is long and warming, with dried fruit, cocoa and spicy oak.
