This is Batch #2 of the Nulu French Oak Bourbon, a six-year-old, high-rye bourbon bottled at 52.4% ABV (104.8 proof).
After ageing it was finished with precision-toasted French oak staves imported from France, which add further layers to the bourbon.
On the nose there is vanilla, Bundt cake and mocha. The palate brings a little fruit, buttered waffles, pie crust and cocoa in a rich body. The finish is long, and the oak's layers continue to shift as the bourbon takes in air.
