Nusbaumer Brunn Classic Bio (43%)

Brunn Classic Bio is an organic single malt from Jos Nusbaumer, described as the first Alsatian single malt he has made. It is distilled, aged and bottled at Steige in the Vosges, using barley grown in the Grand-Est and local spring water. It is bottled at 43%. The whisky spends at least three years in former Burgundy white wine casks. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. The nose shows cereals, ripe fruit and citrus, with a spicy touch of nutmeg and cardamom. The palate is supple and delicately woody, leading to a long, harmonious finish.
