Oban 10 Year Old Coastal Orchard is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky from the Special Release series, in a 70cl bottle. It has a pale gold colour.
The whisky matures in refill casks, then moves into new charred American oak casks freshly seasoned with Oloroso sherry. These add notes of baked apple, a little salted vanilla and spice.
The nose is fresh and maritime, with sun-dried seaweed, aromatic herbs and lemon over a smoky background. The palate is dense and round with medium body, bringing back citrus and woody spices into a persistent finish.
