Oban 14 Year Old is a Highland single malt from the West Highlands, in a 75cl bottle at 43% ABV. The distillery has stood in the fishing village of Oban for around two centuries, and a seaside resort has since grown up around it.
The malt is still made in an unhurried, traditional way, and it has an olive gold colour.
The nose is rich and sweet, with oranges, lemons and pears alongside sea salt and peaty smoke. The palate is full and rich, with late autumn fruits, dried figs and honeyed spice, ending in smoky, malty dryness. The finish is long and smooth-sweet, with oak, dryness and a grain of salt.
