This is a 15 year old single malt from Oban, a Highland distillery in Scotland, bottled at a cask strength of 52.1% ABV. It is a limited release, separate from the core Oban range.
The whisky was aged in American oak and then finished in Port casks. That finish brings juicy red fruit, raspberry and dark cherry, with a gentle malt sweetness, over Oban's coastal salinity and a touch of smoke.
The finish is medium-dry, with balanced oak, red fruit and a maritime character.
