This is a 15 year old single malt from Oban, in the West Highlands of Scotland, finished in Port casks. It was matured in refill and new American oak before the Port finish, and is bottled at 56.2% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is part of Diageo's annual Exclusive Release collection and comes in an illustrated collector's tube.
The tasting notes describe red berries, sea spray and warm vanilla pods on the nose. The palate brings raspberries, dark fruit preserves, salted caramel, black pepper and toasted oak. The finish is long and drying, with fruity tannins, a maritime saltiness and fading nutmeg and clove.
