Oban 21 Years Limited Release is a single malt from the Oban distillery, on the rugged coast of the western Highlands of Scotland.
The whisky was matured in oak casks for more than twenty years. It is described as a maritime malt that balances power with finesse.
The nose combines honey, candied citrus and gentle peat with sea salt, vanilla and toasted malt. On the palate come caramel, dried fruit, sweet spice and a light touch of smoke. The finish is long, warm and salty, with a mineral note.
