Oban Little Bay is a Highland single malt in a 750ml bottle. It is made by marrying malts of different ages, a method the review calls interactive maturation, so that they mingle and build new flavour.
The malts mature in European sherry oak, American oak and refill casks with new oak ends. Different vintages are then measured together to reach the intended Oban character.
It is described as a classic Highland style, with citrus notes, the faintest wisp of smoke and a light sugary crackle.
