Oban Little Bay is a Highland single malt without an age statement, bottled at 43% in a 75cl bottle. The name comes from the small bay that shelters the town of Oban, where the distillery was founded in 1794.
The spirit first matures in refill and new oak casks, then spends additional months in hand-selected small quarter casks.
Sea breeze, citrus zest, floral honey and gentle peat smoke mark the nose. The palate offers fruit bread, orange spice and green apple with a saline note, and the finish is long, with dark chocolate tannins and a slightly briny close.
