Octomore 06.1 is a 5 year old Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, made with 100% Scottish barley and peated to 167 PPM. It is bottled at 57% ABV and comes in a metal tube.
Matured in oak casks, it is a limited edition release. Sweet smoke, sea air and a touch of vanilla lead on the nose. The palate balances peat smoke with sweet maltiness, and the finish is long, with warming spice and a reminder of the peat.
