Octomore Scottish Barley is a five-year-old Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, launched in early 2015 and bottled at 58.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Its phenol level is 208ppm.
It matured for five years in American oak casks and French Syrah casks from the Rhône.
The nose shows red fruit, pear, peach and a touch of floral character. The palate carries the same fruit, joined by smoke.
