Octomore 08.3 Islay Barley is a five-year-old single malt Scotch whisky in the four-part Octomore Eight series. Its maturation uses first-fill ex-bourbon casks alongside wine casks from Pauillac, the Rhône and Burgundy.
Peat, brine, syrup and tropical fruit shape the nose. The palate begins with peat before revealing tropical fruit, oak, chocolate and seaweed, followed by a sweet, creamy finish with further waves of peat.
