Octomore 09.3 is an Islay single malt made entirely from barley grown on Islay. It was matured in a mix of ex-whisky casks and French wine casks and bottled at five years old, at 62.9% in a 70cl bottle. The outturn was 18,000 bottles.
The nose is barley, heather and sponge cake. The palate brings tea, smoke, flowers, treacle and a hint of salt, and the finish is smoky, with oak and rye.
