This is an 11 year old single cask Octomore from Bruichladdich on Islay, a heavily peated malt bottled at a natural cask strength of 60.6% in a 70cl bottle. It matured in a first-fill bourbon cask and has no added colouring and no chill-filtration.
The nose brings strong peat smoke, vanilla, citrus and a maritime freshness. The palate is full and complex, with sweet malt, coconut, spice and salty sea air, and the finish is long and smoky.
