Octomore 14.1 is an Islay single malt from Bruichladdich, bottled at 59.6% in a 70cl bottle. It is the base edition of the 14th Octomore series, matured for five years in first-fill ex-American whiskey casks.
The nose combines sweet caramel, vanilla, citrus, Octomore smoke, roasted coffee and a light spiciness. On the palate there is sweet caramel and vanilla, bright citrus, smoke, roasted coffee, and fresh spices and herbs. The finish is complex and long, with a fruity, bitter note and a subtle smokiness.
