Octomore 14.2 is a super heavily peated single malt from Bruichladdich on Islay, measured at 128.9 ppm. It is made from 100% Scottish Concerto barley harvested in 2016 and was distilled in 2017, then matured for five years. It is bottled at a cask strength of 57.7%, non-chill-filtered and without added colour.
The spirit matured in first fill Oloroso casks (40%), first fill Amarone casks (16%) and second fill Amarone casks (44%), followed by a year in first fill French oak. Head Distiller Adam Hannett chose the casks from more than 200 cask types.
