Octomore 17.1 is a peated single malt from Bruichladdich on Islay, bottled at 59.7% in a 70cl bottle. It is the first of the three bottlings in Edition 17.
The spirit is distilled from Scottish mainland Concerto barley, peated to 81ppm, and matured for five years in first-fill bourbon barrels.
In the glass it is described as custard tart, Scottish tablet, pear drop and vanilla, with earthy smoke and an outdoorsy salinity.
