Octomore 17.4

Octomore Edition 17.4 is a seven year old single malt from Bruichladdich on Islay, from the distillery's super-heavily peated Octomore range. It is peated to 108.2 PPM. It was distilled, matured and bottled on Islay. The whisky began in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks and then moved into French virgin oak for a finishing period, a pairing Bruichladdich describe as one of the richest in the Octomore series. It is bottled at natural cask strength, with no added colour and no chill filtration. Bruichladdich present it as oak spice meeting dried fruit, with the peat in its most raw and elemental form.
