Octomore 2009 0.6.3 is a limited edition peated single malt from Bruichladdich, released as a homage to the lost Octomore Distillery, part of a Hebridean story about the Montgomery family and their vanished distillery. The barley was malted to 258 ppm, and the spirit was distilled in Bruichladdich's tall, narrow-necked stills. It is described as a velvet glove around an iron fist, and as the world's most heavily peated whisky.
