Ohishi Distillery – 8 Year Old Ex-Sherry Casks

This is an 8 year old Japanese whisky from Ohishi Distillery, matured in ex-sherry casks. Ohishi has matured whisky in sherry casks for almost 40 years, and has built long-standing relationships with the cooperages that supply its casks. Whiskies aged this way at the distillery are described as taking on the flavours of dark dried fruits, with notes of cinnamon and tobacco.
