A 20-year-old single-barrel straight American whiskey from Old Carter, drawn from barrel OC-7 and bottled at 69.5% ABV (139 proof) in a 375ml bottle. It was bottled at barrel strength in Louisville, Kentucky, without chill filtration, and this is bottle 264 of 360. It comes in a wooden box.
The nose combines deep caramel, dark vanilla, seasoned oak, leather, tobacco and dark fruit. The palate is rich and powerful, with burnt brown sugar, vanilla bean, dark cherry, baking spice and charred oak. The finish is very long and warming, with caramelised sugar, oak spice, leather and dark fruit.
