It is sourced bourbon rather than Old Carter's own distillate. Old Carter Whiskey Co., run by Mark and Sherri Carter, buys mature barrels and bottles selected ones individually, at full strength and without chill filtration.
The nose has dark caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, mature oak, baking spice and dark fruit. The palate is rich and full-bodied, with toasted sugar and seasoned oak, and the finish is long and warming.
