Old Carter Straight American Whiskey Batch #7 is a small batch, high proof American whiskey from Old Carter Whiskey Co. The company was founded by Mark and Sherri Carter, who were also behind Kentucky Owl. Each bottle is wax dipped and hand-labelled. Every Old Carter batch is put together from a different selection of aged straight American whiskey barrels, so ages and proofs vary from one batch to the next. Batch #7 is bottled at barrel strength. The nose is rich caramel, vanilla and grain spice. The palate is bold and concentrated, with caramel, dried fruit and oak, and the finish is long and warming.
