Old Carter Batch 18 is a small-batch straight bourbon bottled at barrel strength, 115 proof or 57.5% ABV, in Louisville, Kentucky. It comes in a 75cl bottle. The batch is made from a handful of mature barrels married together towards a profile, rather than a single cask bottled alone. Each bottle is numbered by hand. Tasting notes describe caramelised sugar, vanilla, dark fruit, toasted oak and warm baking spice on the nose. The palate offers brown sugar, rich caramel, vanilla, cinnamon, dark cherry and seasoned oak, and the finish is long and warming, with sweet oak, spice, caramel and dark fruit.
