This is Batch 11 of Old Carter Straight Rye, a small-batch Kentucky straight rye whiskey in a 75cl bottle. It is bottled at 57.8% ABV (115.6 proof) and is non-chill filtered. Old Carter Whiskey Co. was founded by Mark and Sherri Carter, who are also behind Kentucky Owl. Each batch is numbered and bottled at natural barrel proof. The nose combines grain spice, dried fruit, caramel and vanilla. The palate is bold and concentrated, with rye spice, caramel and warm fruit, and the finish is long and led by spice.
