Old Carter Straight Rye Batch 12 is an American rye whiskey bottled at 116 proof, or 58% ABV. It was released in 2023, with approximately 3,210 bottles produced, and comes from Mark Carter and Sherri Carter.
The nose is caramelised sugar, crème brûlée, toffee, baking spices and toasted oak, with dark fruit and rye spice. On the palate there is brown sugar, toffee, cinnamon, black pepper and rye spice, with herbal undertones and mature oak. The finish is long and warming, with baking spice, toasted oak, dark caramel and peppery rye.
