Old Carter Straight Rye Batch 12 is a Kentucky straight rye whiskey, the twelfth numbered and documented batch in the Old Carter rye programme. Old Carter Whiskey Co. was founded by Mark and Sherri Carter, who also created Kentucky Owl.
It is bottled at 58% ABV (116 proof) in a 750ml bottle, without dilution and non-chill filtered.
The nose brings rye grain spice, dried fruit, caramel and vanilla. The palate is concentrated and full, and the finish is long and led by spice, with the warmth of the rye grain.
