Old Charter Oak Finest Oak is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, bottled at 47.5% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
It is a limited expression under the Old Charter name, a brand dating back to 1874. The bourbon is aged on hand-selected American white oak staves from Canton Cooperage, which were seasoned in the open air in Kentucky before use.
Vanilla, caramel and toffee lead the palate, with oak spice, cherry and cocoa underneath, and a warm, lingering finish of sweet oak.
