This is a 12 year old Kentucky straight bourbon from Old Charter Oak, bottled at 46% ABV in a 75cl-style 750ml bottle and made from corn, rye and malted barley.
French oak is the defining feature here, and it shapes the character of the bourbon, which sits around caramel, vanilla and spice with toasted oak running through it.
The nose brings caramelised sugar, toasted oak and subtle floral touches. On the palate there is caramel, vanilla and spices, with toasted oak alongside.
