This is a six year old Kentucky straight bourbon from Old Crow, distilled in 1971 and bottled in 1977 at 40% in a 75cl bottle. The Traveller label is part of its name.
Old Crow is named after Dr James C. Crow, the inventor of the sour mash process. It is the bourbon linked to a well-known remark by President Lincoln. After heavy losses at Shiloh, many people called for General Grant to be removed. Lincoln is said to have replied by asking what whiskey Grant drank, so that a barrel could be sent to his other generals.
