A cask strength, high rye straight bourbon from Old Dominick Distillery in downtown Memphis, Tennessee, which opened in 2017. The mash bill is 52% corn, 44% rye and 4% malted barley, distilled at a barrel entry proof of 110 and aged in West Tennessee white oak.
It is made six barrels at a time and bottled uncut and unfiltered, so the strength varies by batch, with releases ranging from 114 to 124 proof.
Crème brûlée sweetness, dark chocolate, caramel and leather come with a building rye spice, and the finish is of chocolate in the manner of a Tootsie Roll.
