Old Dominick Original Toddy is a 60 proof (30%) bourbon-based spirit from Old Dominick Distillery in Memphis, Tennessee. It follows the family recipe for the Memphis Toddy of Domenico Canale, blending high-rye bourbon with natural ingredients. The mash bill is 52% corn, 44% rye and 4% malted barley.
The name nods to pre-Prohibition Memphis and to 1866, when D. Canale first sold his bourbon in the city. It can be taken neat, over cracked ice or in cocktails.
The nose has fresh ginger, warm honey and light pepper. On the palate come cinnamon candy, clove, ginger ale and citrus, and the finish is dry, warm and spicy-sweet, with butterscotch.
