Old Elk 10 Year is a straight bourbon aged for 10 years and bottled at 51.5% ABV (103 proof) in a 75cl bottle. It is a wheated bourbon, which means wheat is used as the flavouring grain in place of rye.
The nose combines caramel, vanilla, honey, toasted oak, soft wheat, brown sugar and warm spice. The palate is full-bodied and smooth, with caramel, vanilla bean, cinnamon, baking spice and subtle dark fruit. The finish is long and warming, with oak, brown sugar, vanilla and wheat sweetness.
