Old Elk Blended Straight Bourbon is made under Master Distiller Greg Metze. It brings together selected straight bourbons, with no neutral spirits added, and is bottled at 88 proof (44%) in a 75cl bottle.
It is proofed using a slow cut method, which takes extra time and is meant to preserve delicate flavours and improve mouthfeel.
The nose offers caramel, vanilla bean, toasted oak and light baking spice. The palate brings rich caramel, brown sugar, honey and hints of cinnamon and dark fruit. The finish is smooth and lingering, with gentle oak and warm spice.
