Old Elk Master's Blend Double Wheat Straight Whiskey (75cl, 53.5%)

Old Elk Master's Blend Double Wheat is a straight whiskey from the Old Elk Distillery in Fort Collins, Colorado, bottled at 53.55% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It belongs to the Master's Blend Series and was put together by Master Distiller Greg Metze. It marries two of the distillery's wheat-led whiskeys, a straight wheat whiskey and a wheated bourbon, to make a mashbill within a mashbill of 71.5% wheat, 25% corn and 3.5% malted barley. The whiskey is aged for six to eight years. The nose offers vanilla cream, caramel, toasted cereal, raspberry jam and orange blossom. On the palate come buttered brown sugar, cinnamon toast and honeyed pecans, and the finish is bright and lingering, with white pepper, maple syrup and fruit.
