This is a blended straight bourbon from Old Elk in Colorado, finished in port casks. It is bottled at 54.05% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
The port finish adds dried fruit to a base of caramel and vanilla, and the blend of grains is part of what gives the bourbon its depth.
The nose brings oak, dark berries and a light sweetness. On the palate come rich caramel and vanilla alongside dried fruit, leading to a warm finish.
