Old Elk – Slow Cut Blended Straight Bourbon Whiskey (75cl)

Old Elk Slow Cut is a blended straight bourbon from Colorado, in a 75cl bottle. Its mashbill contains four times more malted barley than traditional bourbon recipes, which gives sweet, light components. The barley sits alongside clove spice from the rye and the classic richer character of the corn. The aroma is sweet vanilla and caramel with clove, a little maple and nutty almond. On the palate there is maple syrup, almond, raw bran, chocolate, deep wood and coconut. The mouthfeel is smooth and coating, and the flavour lasts.
