Old Ezra Brooks 7 Year Old is a bourbon aged for seven years in new, charred white oak and bottled at barrel proof, 117 proof (58.5%).
The nose is traditional, with vanilla, caramel, brown sugar and oak, and mild for a high-proof bourbon. The palate is lively, moving from sweet fruit to rich caramel and spicy oak, with some heat but plenty of flavour. The finish brings oak, spice and dark cherries, with a short lift of vanilla and candied apple near the end.
