Old Fitzgerald 1969 Half Gallon Bottled-in-Bond for Export (189.3cl, 50%)

This is a half gallon bottle of Old Fitzgerald bottled-in-bond, holding 1893ml and believed to be a 1969 bottling. It was made for export to Europe. During the 1960s and 1970s many 100 proof bottled-in-bond bottles sent to Europe had to be brought down to 86 proof. This one shows that change on its back label, where 100 proof has been crossed out and replaced with 86 proof. The year is read from the bottom embossment, which is hard to make out.
